Accurate, timely information provides the solid basis for establishing advocacy and planning strategies for both MHA and our hospitals. DataSolutions is uniquely situated to bring the best resources together through MHA and MHA Solutions to benefit our members.
Through existing and emerging relationships, both MHA and Solutions have sought out appropriate partners, programs, and resources to meet these immediate needs and establish effective long-term planning and information tools for both the Association and our members.
- MHA DATABANK (DATABANK) is a web-based database of hospital utilization and financial performance indicators. The DATABANK is a source of comparable information on average length of stay, outpatient statistics, charges and expenses per day and per stay, uncollected charges, number of days in accounts receivable, gross profitability and a number of personnel statistics. Access to the DATABANK is part of MHA Membership and available at no charge to participating hospitals.
- Medicare Hospital Revenue Forecasterä is an interactive planning tool to help hospitals prepare their Medicare budgets. The Forecaster provides a summary of Medicare reimbursement for each hospital and post-acute care payment category. This program is available to MHA member hospitals from DataGen for a nominal price.
- KeySTATS – MHA has established a relationship with a Healthcare Association of New York State (HANYS) company offering information-based tools that support MHA’s mission of advocacy and education for our members. The tools include timely and affordable financial analyses of major reimbursement changes providing real-time information on legislative changes affecting hospitals. This tool was developed for association use to support advocacy and education on behalf of hospitals. Impact information and relevant reports are distributed at no charge to all MHA member hospitals.
